ABOUT US
QBN FM 96.7 is a licensed community radio station.
Sponsorships, donations, grants and memberships fund the radio station’s operations.

With no paid staff, we rely on volunteers to present, operate and manage the station.

QBN FM 96.7 is on air playing a wide range of music, sport and news, as well as the CRN National News.
​
We welcome local non-profit groups with events and activities, seeking community publicity and support.

96.7 is run by a dedicated team of volunteer announcers, administration and technical staff.
Who Can Become a Member?

Membership is an important link between 96.7 and the Queanbeyan Community.

Membership is open to everyone, including those who reside outside of the Local Area.

You can just show your support or take the opportunity to take an active involvement within the Station.

Throughout Australia, 20,000 people give their time to the community radio sector each year. We recognise the time, effort, and energy volunteers put into our local radio station. They give so generously of themselves and their time.
Here are a few reasons why becoming a member is rewarding:-

You can take an active role in running the station, by:-
– Nominating for the Committee;
– Offering your skills to a Sub-Committee, or
– Helping at Radio Station events, or behind-the-scenes. -
You can take part in presenter training and can apply for your own programme
